Top 10 CEO Blogs (March 2007)

Well, it’s Monday again, and there’s no better time to take a look at our Quarterly listing of top CEO blogs out there in the blogosphere. This time around, we see very few changes to the list, but the one common theme happens to be that most CEO blogs excepting Mark Cuban’s seems to have fallen down a few notches in the popularity/links contest as can be verified by their Technorati rankings.

Here are the Top 10 CEO blogs (as of March 07, listed by Technorati rankings):

# 1: Marc Cuban, HDNET & Dallas Mavericks

# 2: Jeff Jarvis, President & Creative Director of Advance.nett

# 3: Jonathan Schwartz, COO, Sun Microsystems

# 4: David Sifry, Founder and CEO of Technorati

# 5: Brad Feld, Mobius Venture Capital

# 6: Richard Edelman, President & CEO, Edelman

# 7: Bob Lutz, Vice Chairman, General Motors Corporation

# 8: Adam Kalsey, CTO of Pheedo

# 9: Jeff Clavier, Managing Partner, SoftTech VC

# 10: Brian Carroll, CEO, InTouch

Joshua Porter from Bocardo had a post earlier today where he summarized 9 lessons for would-be bloggers (in general) and I was surprised to see how many of those rules actually explain the need for corporate blogs. Take a look at the 9 Lessons for Would-be Bloggers here (via Joshua Porter‘s blog)

What is your favorite corporate blog, yet?

    Hi Mhairi,

    The New PR Wiki has a complete listing of corporate/CEO blogs by country: http://www.thenewpr.com/wiki/pmwiki.php?pagename=Resources.CEOBlogsList.

    Here are the Canadian blogs:
    * Stewart Butterfield, President, Ludicorp (Flickr)
    * Robin Hopper, iUpload
    * Jim Estill, CEO, SYNNEX Canada Ltd.
    * Albert Lai, BubbleShare
    * Dave Mowat, CEO, Vancity Credit Union
    * Elliot Noss, Tucows Inc.
    * Michael O’Connor Clarke, VP, Thornley Fallis
    * Warren Bickford, Chairman, International Association of Business Communicators

    Hope this helps.

    I like thelook and feel of the SouthWest blog even although I never fly with them….

    Are any of these Canadian companies? There tends to be a lag in the adoption of new media (we’re a few months behind) and I haven’t found any great Canadian corporate blogs yet.

    Thanks for your comment, buddy.

    I realize that I haven’t checked the updated list of Top CEO blogs on the New PR Wiki which I was using as my source for the rankings. Will provide an updated Top 10 list shortly.

    The Marriott blog was a part of the updated list on the Wiki: http://www.thenewpr.com/wiki/pmwiki.php?pagename=Resources.CEOBlogsList.

    Hi Mario,

    Is this for CEOs only? Or would a corporate blog count? I would say that I enjoy the Marriott blog (http://www.blogs.marriott.com/) if it includes the latter. While Bill is the primary writer, there is more of a collaborative effort to the blog (other folks obviously respond to posts & probably inquiries).

    Thanks for the correction, Adam.

    I recall your mentioning that to me last time around. Let me also make the same correction on the NewPRWiki where your blog was listed: http://www.thenewpr.com/wiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage?pagename=Resources.CEOBlogsList.

    I did send an email to Constantin Basturea who manages the list as well, mentioning the discrepancy.

  9. Adam Kalsey

    Thanks for the mention. I continue to be amazed that my name appears in the same list as the other 9 bloggers.

    Quick, correction, however; I left Pheedo a year and a half ago. I’m currently running a startup called thinkSMALL Ad Network.
